Baltic Olympiad in Informatics, April 30 – May 3, 2010, Tartu, Estonia
For general information on Tallinn, please see the official website.
For information on getting to the bus station, please see below.
You may take a taxi to get from the port to the bus station. There are usually enough of them waiting when a boat comes in, and you should expect to pay around 100 EEK for a daytime trip from the port to the bus station.
Alternatively, you can use a city bus, which has stops are near the exits from both passenger terminals, but only goes about twice an hour (schedule). In this case you should buy the tickes form a newsstand in the terminal. Take the bus number 2 and get off in the "Autobussijaam" stop.
Alternatively, you can use the tramway, which has a stop a bit further away, but goes every few minutes. In this case you should also buy the tickes form a newsstand in the terminal. The tramway stop nearest to the port is marked with a circled 1 on the map below. Coming from the port, you chould cross the tramway line and take the tram labelled "2 - ÜLEMISTE". You should get off in the "Autobussijaam" stop.
You may take a taxi to get from the airport to the bus station. You should expect to pay around 80 EEK for a daytime trip from the airport to the bus station.
Alternatively, you can use a city bus. In this case you should buy the tickes form a newsstand in the terminal. The bus stop is right in front of the exit from the airport through the arrivals hall. Take the bus number 2 (beware, there is another bus deceptively labeled Lasnamäe Centrum which will take you to a shopping mall in a quite wrong direction). You should get off in the "Autobussijaam" stop, which is the third stop after the airport.
When you take either the tramway from the seaport or a city bus from the airport, you arrive at the stop marked with a circled 2 on the map below. Thus, the bus station is to your right when you are coming from the seaport, and to your left when you are coming from the airport.
You can browse the inter-city bus schedules here.
Unfortunately, you would need a local bank account to buy the tickets over the Internet, as they don't take credit cards. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need help with buying the tickets or arranging a private transfer.
